Membership

For Peace is a non-profit organization that was established in Fairfield, Iowa in 2007. Its purpose is to spread the knowledge of what individuals, businesses, foundations, etc., can do to help create a "peace effect," and when necessary, help them do it. It also provides a way for them to publicize the fact that they are participating in a world wide program proven to have the ability to create world peace. Of those entities that meet the 1% requirement, if they have a management level, such as cities, universities, organizations, schools, states, etc., that 1% should include 1% of management.

The Peace Effect

Research has documented that when the number of TM meditators in an area reaches a certain level (1% of the population), and sidhas (the square root of 1% of the population who do their advanced meditation program in a group), violence in the area declines. Under For Peace will be Businesses for Peace, Politicians for Peace, Institutions for Peace (many kinds), Cities for Peace, Schools for Peace, etc. Each will have its own website where visitors can go and find others in the various fields or disciplines who are already participating in this program to create world peace.

In order for an entity to become a member, it will have to meet certain requirements.

The benefits of being a member of For Peace include:

1. Image-being actively engaged in the only proven peace-creating program would be a plus for any entity, since most people want peace. Even though some may not think peace is possible, research on the results of the TM program show that peace is actually normal. This will increase interest in connecting to the entity for some reason, such as doing business with it.
2. The entity would be given an emblem that it can put in its literature, its advertisements and its website that indicated that it is a member of For Peace.
3. The entity would be listed on the For Peace website as being actively engaged in creating world peace and would explain what it was doing, and would have a link to its website.
4. For Peace would have a statement on the entity's website, supporting it.
5. For Peace will create a publication dedicated to world peace and will include all of the above in it as well as much more. Ads would be from all the peace-desiring organizations, natural health orgs, Vedic and environmental organizations, etc. The focus would be on what each one is doing to create a peaceful world. Each issue would tell how many meditators and sidhas (advanced meditators) there are anywhere in the world, how many groups of sidhas there are (which produces a more powerful effect), how many more are needed in each nation and the world, how many members of For Peace there are, etc.

The revenue from all this will support the organization and pay the employees (currently only one) sufficient income to be able to live. The balance will be used to support the teaching of this knowledge, to the extent it can, everywhere in the world and that includes providing funds to help people learn the TM and the advanced TM-Sidhi techniques and attend one of our schools.

Regarding Membership

There are two kinds of members: individuals, meaning one person, such as an attorney, musician, politician, actor and actress or celebrity, like a movie star and comedian; and entities with more than one person, such as businesses, schools, peace organizations, charities, foundations, etc.

So there are two kinds of applications, one for individuals and one for those entities that has more than one member.
