For any entity to be a member of For Peace, there are two requirements. The first is that at least 1% of the members (employees, students, residents, etc.) have to be practicing the Transcendental Meditation technique.
The second requirement is the payment of a fee. The income that is received will be used to support all of the activities of For Peace. Those activities include helping people pay for the TM course, setting up courses in schools, medical facilities, counseling centers, prisons, etc.
For me to set a fee that each entity who wants to become a member would have to pay is impossible. The reason for this is that not every entity has the same amount of money. Businesses have more money than schools, and some businesses have more money than others. Same for cities, etc.
I’ve decided to allow each entity to decide how much they will pay. In making that decision, there are a number of things that I think each prospective member should consider: Among them are:
Payment can be monthly, quarterly, semi-yearly, or yearly. It would be very helpful if, each time a payment is made, For Peace could be given an idea how much the member planned on paying for the year to come. Donations will also be welcomed.
If you have decided you are interested, the next step is to find a TM center near you. If there isn’t one in your city, please look at www.tm.org.
Once you have taken the TM course, you should contact me and let me know at what TM Center you were taught.
Peace,
Laurence Topliffe
