Dear Visitor,
Journalists for Peace was set up so journalists who are actively engaged in the only program proven to be able to create world peace could inform the public about the program and their commitment to helping create a peaceful world.
Since you may not have read the home page of For Peace, that program is Transcendental Meditation. Hundreds of studies have been done on the TM program and the findings published in major scientific journals as well as various magazines. The research shows that the TM programs create a “peace effect.”
“Maharishi predicted in 1960 that if just one percent of the world’s population practiced the Transcendental Meditation technique, there would be an end to war. In 1974, scientists noted a growing number of cities where one percent of the population had learned the Transcendental Meditation technique. They looked at crime statistics in these “one percent” cities, they found that when a city reached the one percent level there was a decrease in the crime rate. At the same time, matched control cities maintained an increase in crime rate—as did the United States as a whole. They named this phenomenon the Maharishi Effect.” (From www.tm.org) More research can be found at http://www.istpp.org/crime_prevention/.
If you are looking for a journalist who is involved in this proven program to create peace, and a better quality of life for all, clicking on any of the names in the list on the left will take you to his or her page, which will have contact information.
